A Uintah Basin teen has walked away from the 2025 National High School Finals Rodeo as a World Champion. “After two hot and windy days, first time qualifier Missy Harding from Utah tightened her sights and clinched the world championship title for the Light Rifle,” shares the NHSRA announcement. This year’s event took place in Rock Springs, Wyoming and Missy Harding’s win was the first of many World Champions crowned. Daxtyn Feild from Roosevelt also represented well, taking 5th place in the All Around Cowboy competition. Jodrynn Knight from Roosevelt and Charly Bastian from Neola placed in the Barrel Racing Jackpot. Daxtyn Feild placed in the Bareback Riding Jackpot and Team Roping Jackpot. The Utah girls team placed 3rd behind Oklahoma and Texas in the overall standings while the Utah boys team placed 1st overall.
