The boys seriously injured in a farm truck accident in the Tabiona area last Thursday are recovering after being airlifted to Primary Children’s Hospital. KUTV News spoke with family members this week and learned that 7-year-old Casey was released from the hospital while 9-year-old Ryder remains in the hospital recovering. The boys’ mother Kilee shared with KUTV that Ryder is progressing and they hope he will be out soon. Kilee also shared that she and her husband had left the boys at their grandparents house while they left on vacation. They received the call about the accident while at the airport and were able to head to the hospital to meet them. The accident happened when the truck hit a bump in the road and one of the boys fell out of the truck while the other jumped out to save his brother. Utah Highway Patrol shares that while riding in the bed of the truck is not illegal, it is strongly discouraged.
