A late night assault at a cabin in the Fruitland area resulted in arrest for a West Valley woman. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, 51-year-old Cari Ann Hunter unlawfully entered the cabin where her husband and another person were asleep, physically woke them up by turning on the lights, and immediately began a physical attack. Among the actions, Cari hit her husband in the head with a whiskey bottle. Because the cabin is not marital property and because Cari unlawfully entered and remained even after being told to leave, she was charged with Felony Burglary. Due to the substantial risk of bodily injury she was also charged with Felony Aggravated Assault. Cari surrendered herself into custody 3 days after the assault and was booked into Duchesne County Jail.
