If you’ve got the gas money, Utah’s Historical Society is prepared to reward you for visiting museums across Utah and a local museum is on their list. The Utah Pin Quest launched this week and has 10 unique Utah themed pins that can be collected by visiting museums across the state. There are 33 participating museum locations across 20 counties and each location has only one pin design. The pin designs include a Bonneville Cutthroat Trout, Brine Shrimp, California Gull, Fry Sauce Bottle, Golden Eagle, Green Jell-O, Porcini Mushroom, Sego Lily, Sugar Beet, and Utahraptor. The Uintah Heritage Museum is one of the locations that has the Porcini Mushroom pin. To see the complete list of participating museums and what pin they are giving out for free, visit www.history.utah.gov. A few locations are already out of their pins so be sure to check the website or call the location before you head out on your Quest.
