Leave the firearms at home but if you’ve been hoping for a chance to check out Roosevelt’s new Rough Rider Shooting Complex, your opportunity is approaching. This is an outdoor shooting complex and the plan is to have targets up to 1000 yards. The project is funded by Roosevelt City, the Wildlife Conservation Fund, DNR, and other donations. The Roosevelt City website lists the budget at $470,000 dollars: $300,000 dollars from Roosevelt City with anticipated donations of $170,000 dollars. The Rough Rider Shooting Complex soft opening is scheduled for July 24th from 11am to 1pm. There will be a ribbon cutting as well as food and drinks. Do not bring firearms as the chairs will be set up on the range.
