The Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce was honored at the State Capitol last week during the Annual Chamber Winter Conference. Last summer it was announced that the Chamber received the Best Community Partnership award for their Education Summit launched in the spring of 2016. The award is one of only fourpresented during the state convention with over 30 Chambers around the state in attendance. Chamber Director Joel Brown accepted the plaque at the Capitol last week. “The Chamber is honored to be recognized for the Best Community Partnership,” shares Brown. “The Education Summit is just one way we try to recognize our amazing teachers and administrators in our community!” The Chamber Education Committee is hosting the Summit this year on March 25th at the Uintah Conference Center. All teachers and administrators from the Uintah and Duchesne School Districts are welcome to attend free of charge thanks to the sponsorships from the school districts.
