A traffic stop in Uintah County ended in arrest on Sunday after narcotics were located. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, 37-year-old Ashley Dawn Howell was searched after a K9 indicated the odor of illegal narcotics coming from inside the vehicle. Howell became very upset and would not cooperate with being searched. Due to her behavior it was believed narcotics were being concealed on her person. Inside her hoodie pocket a large cloth-like bag was found which contained a large amount of Heroin that included what appeared to be a personal stash and ready to use foil pieces ready to sell. Howell was arrested and is charged with 2nd Degree Felony Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Obstruction of Justice, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
