A local child sex offender who was on probation was arrested last week after Adult Probation & Parole received a tip that he was violating his probation using Snapchat and dating an individual with a young child. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, 23-year-old Joshua Zook was located on May 21st at a residence in Jensen where 4 minor children reside and that the address was not on the approved AP&P list. When agents arrived, Zook immediately exited the residence and was found underneath a truck in the garage. A search of his cell phone revealed several violations, including that Zook had access to the internet on his phone and that he was logged into unlisted Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat accounts. It was also found that Zook did not maintain a current identification card. Zook was arrested and is charged with 3 counts of 3rd Degree Felony Failure to Register and 1 count of Failure to Maintain a Current ID Card as a Child Sex Abuse Offender. He was ordered to be held without bail and is scheduled for his Initial Appearance in court on June 4th.
