The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) has resumed construction on U.S. Highway 191 through Indian Canyon between Helper and Duchesne. UDOT issued a project update on May 22nd, stating that “work scattered throughout the 45-mile corridor includes new passing lanes, widening select roadway and shoulder areas, expanding chain-up areas, improving intersections, drainage systems, and guardrail. Construction is expected to extend through Fall 2026.” Two open-houses are being offered where community members can meet the contractor and project team to learn more about the improvements. The first open house will be at the Price City Offices on June 3rd from 5:30 to 7:30pm. The second open house will be on June 5th at the Duchesne City Offices from 5:30 to 7:30pm.
