A group of Uintah High government students are taking the Hill by storm today as they testify in favor of HB 117 before the Business and Labor Committee. HB 117 is sponsored by Representative Scott Chew and proposes to expand the type and breadth of publications that can print public notices. Representative Chew approached Uintah High government teacher Mary Moulton about forming a team of sharp students to research and testify on behalf of the bill and the day is finally here. “They are ready with five minute presentation and rebuttal arguments for anyone who testifies against the bill,” shares Ms. Mouton. “They are excited to be part of the process and watch their bill go from inception to the Governor’s desk.” The team is hopeful that after today’s hearing and testimony, HB 117 will get passed to the floor.
