Methamphetamine and Fentanyl were discovered during the search of a vehicle in Roosevelt following a DUI arrest on Tuesday. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, officers were dispatched to the Arby’s parking lot in Roosevelt on May 13th at approximately 2:20pm on a call of someone smoking illegal drugs in a Ford truck. When officers arrived the truck was gone but was soon located near the Dollar Tree store. The officer approached the driver, informing him of the call they had received. He noted that the driver was fidgeting around and having a hard time speaking. After failing field sobriety testing, 40-year-old David Allen Foster was placed under arrest for DUI. Methamphetamine and Fentanyl were located while doing an inventory of the vehicle. Following a blood draw at the Roosevelt Police Station, Foster was transported to the Duchesne County Jail on DUI and drug offenses.
