If you missed the UDOT hosted public meeting last week regarding Vernal’s 1500 West 500 North intersection, there is still time to learn about the proposed improvements and offer input. The proposed improvements include a widened intersection with new turn lanes, pedestrian-friendly sidewalks and crosswalks at each corner, reconstruction of the traffic signal, and storm drain upgrades working with Ashley Central Irrigation. The environmental analysis includes studying the land use, threatened and endangered species, recreation use, hazardous materials, air quality, visual/aesthetics, and more.
