The spring showers are great for May flowers but there’s a pesky aspect of the weather at this time of year that can take away from the outdoor fun. A wind advisory has been issued for northeastern Utah and is in effect from noon to 9pm today. Uintah County Emergency Management shares that southwest winds are expected at 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 miles per hour. The area of impact is the eastern Uintah Basin. All that could be affected are urged to secure property outdoors as gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could also be blown down which can cause power outages. Please take a few minutes to prepare what you may need if that were to happen.
