A Duchesne County man was arrested over the weekend on drug distribution charges after an investigation revealed he was the prescription drug supplier in a recent overdose. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, a prescription bottle prescribed to Cole Warner containing Percocet as well as a baggie containing crushed white pills was laying next to an individual that was found unresponsive in March in Fruitland. The individual was rushed to the hospital not expected to survive but made a miraculous recovery and was eventually released to a rehabilitation center. Meanwhile, text messages revealed that Cole Warner had texted with the individual about Vitamins he was selling. Investigators were eventually able to speak with the individual and confirmed that the Vitamins referred to Percocet pills and that the individual would meet Cole about once a week to purchase them. It was alleged that most of the purchases were 50 pills for $400 but on one occasion the 50 pills cost $500. Over 5 months, Cole Warner sold the individual 980 Percocet pills at a total cost of around $8,100, as well as some marijuana on one occasion. 60-year-old Cole C. Warner was arrested on May 2nd and is charged with 3nd Degree Felony Distribution of a Controlled Substance and 3rd Degree Felony Distribution of a Controlled Substance. At the time of his arrest, Warner was on felony probation with AP&P. The judge ordered that Warner be held without bail.
