Methamphetamine was found in a vehicle during a DUI arrest in Roosevelt on May 2nd. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, 43-year-old Angelina Jonette Kelsey was pulled over on 800 South State Street for a traffic violation. It was noted that the vehicle had been observed at known drug houses and due to this knowledge, the K9 officer was called to assist. Upon approaching the vehicle it was noted that the driver was sweaty, agitated, and began speaking very quickly. She told officers her name and that she had a warrant out for her arrest. The K9 was deployed and indicated positive for illegal drugs/narcotics coming from the vehicle. Methamphetamine was located. Field sobriety testing was performed and based on the observations, Kesley was determined to be under the influence of methamphetamine and was placed under arrest for DUI. Angelina Jonette Kelsey is charged with 3rd Degree Felony Possession or Use of a Controlled Substance and DUI, among other charges.
