The Bureau of Land Management announced this week the approval of a right-of-way for the Park Mountain Pipeline in Uintah County. “Utah Gas Corp can construct a 3.5 mile, 12-inch buried pipeline to transport Uintah Basin natural gas to markets in the West,” shares the announcement. “Projects like this support Secretarial Order 3417, ‘Addressing the National Energy Emergency’, by tackling the critical need for a reliable, diversified, growing, and affordable supply of energy.” The BLM National NEPA Register offers a few more details, stating that it will include “two 12-inch, steel, or high-density polyethylene surface natural gas pipelines from existing wells on the west side of the project area to existing compression and transmission infrastructure on the east side of the project before being transported to regional markets by existing third-party transmission pipelines.” For further information, please contact the Vernal Field Office at 435-781-4400.
