Two people were booked into Duchesne County Jail on April 22nd after an incident in Duchesne County. Officers received information that a man on the sex offender list was not in compliance. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, detectives responded to the residence and noted a woman who was identified as the man’s girlfriend was leaving the residence in a vehicle with no insurance. A traffic stop was performed. The girlfriend told officers that her boyfriend, Jeremias Mullins, was home. She was asked to go inside the home to get him which she did but then quickly shut the door on the detectives, not allowing them entrance into the home. A short time later the pair came out of the home and were taken into custody. 43-year-old Amber Dawn Johnston was found to have 2 active statewide warrants. Mullins was a known category 1 restricted person for an Aggravated Sexual Abuse of a Child conviction in 2010. Once interviewed at the jail, Johnston told officers they would find drugs, paraphernalia, and guns inside the home. A warrant was executed and officers located 8 different firearms, as well as a machete, large double bladed knives, hatchets, and drugs. Both were booked into Duchesne County Jail on weapons and drug charges.
