This year’s production of
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
put on by the amazing Uintah High School Theatre team is set up for success. With a cast of 65 students plus a host of stage crew and adult volunteers, the operation to make the show a reality has taken the commitment of many and been almost a year in the making. One of the funnest things about this show is the special effects. “We have the magical Chitty car and it will not disappoint,” shares Director Chris Piner. “It is beautiful to see and impressive to watch what our Chitty car can do and it’s also fun to see Mr. Pott’s wonderful inventions from the breakfast making machine to the hair cutting machine.” Beyond the props and set, Piner says the costumers have outdone themselves this year and that they’ve been working on the costumes since last summer. Last year, Uintah Theatre took home the Best Musical in the State award as well as Best Costumes in the State. The team is confident that their stage version of
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
will bring as much joy as last year’s
Little Mermaid.
