The wait is over as local students will be learning the art of storytelling as part of activities surrounding Vernal’s annual Storytelling Festival. Storytellers Tim Lowry and Sam Payne are bringing their skills to the Basin for fun that includes student workshops and two evening community performances. Tim Lowry calls South Carolina home and is known for his southern manner and droll side-wit. Sam Payne weaves singing into his storytelling and has performed all over the world from Bulgaria, Tokyo, Canada and from coast to coast in the United States. The community is urged to come experience the art of storytelling from the professionals. The community performances are being held Thursday and Friday night at7:00pm at the Vernal Middle School. Students are $3, adults are $5, or it is $10 for a family. Students are free with a ticket received at school. For more information, visit the Vernal UTAH’s Storytelling Festival page on Facebook.
