It’s closing weekend for Uintah High School’s epic production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and tickets are going fast for the final two shows. Audiences are praising the high energy show full of special effects and whimsical gadgets. The flying car is especially exciting and fun for the crowd, thrilling young fans and providing nostalgia for the more seasoned audience members who remember the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang show of their youth. “This is the most technical production I’ve ever directed,” shares Director Chris Piner. “There are gadgets and special effects you won’t believe you are seeing on stage.” Thousands of hours have gone into the show and the Uintah High Theatre team are hopeful it was enough to earn a spot at the state High School Musical Awards. Last year, Uintah High Theatre won Best Musical in the State for The Little Mermaid. Tonight andtomorrow are the final two showings of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at Uintah High School.
