A revolutionary dance company in the middle of its 50th Anniversary season is coming to Vernal this month to host clinics and put on a once in a lifetime performance. Repertory Dance Theatre is the nation’s oldest and most successful dance company of its kind. RDT is focused on pushing the boundaries of modern dance and have one purpose, to create art in motion expressed through the human body as modern dance. A Repertory Dance Theatre residency is being held for three days in Vernal from March 22nd through the 24th. “They will be putting on clinics, workshops and lecture demonstrations throughout the area at different schools,” shares Uintah Arts Council representative Ron Litton. “[They] will be creating new choreography with local dance students that will be used as one number in the concert.” Uintah Arts Council will present the Repertory Dance Theatre in concert on Friday, March 24th, at 7:30pm at the Vernal Middle School.
