The Myton Bench widening project is underway, with travel and residential impacts expected. The UDOT project is widening Highway 40 to five lanes from 6250 South in Myton to Pole Line Road in Roosevelt. Preliminary construction began the end of February with crews working at Dry Gulch Canal to build a bypass to allow construction of an extended box culvert. All lanes on Highway 40 have remained open so far but there will be localized shoulder closures as the crews begin more work. Property owners along that stretch of Highway have been contacted this week about receiving temporary mailboxes during construction. The contracted construction end date is expected in October. The project runs in Duchesne County on Highway 40 from Milepost 105 to Milepost 111. For more information, visit
