The spring burn window is around the corner and TriCounty Health is spreading the word: the burn is for vegetation cleanup only. “This is intended to burn vegetation only,” shares Darrin Brown of TriCounty Health. “Anything other than vegetation is against the law.” Common things that people illegally burn in the spring are construction waste, scraps from remodeling, vehicles, carpet and even garbage stored over the winter. Anything other than vegetation is illegal to burn and should be taken to the dump instead. Following the rules of spring burning is also important due to the air quality issue in the Basin. All are urged to consider their neighbors during the spring burn window. The burn window in Uintah County is March 30th through May 30th and April 15th through May 15th in Duchesne County.
