5 Arrested In Drug House Where Baby Poisoned By Fentanyl

Individuals that were living in the home where a baby overdosed on Fentanyl in January have also been arrested. The baby was brought to Uintah Basin Medical Center unconscious on January 26th and was put on a Narcan drip and life flighted to Primary Children’s Hospital in Lehi. Testing showed the baby had a Fentanyl level of 6.7 when a high dose is considered to be 3. The mother, 29-year-old Isabell Capri Montes, is charged with 2nd Degree Felony Endangering a Child Resulting in Bodily Injury and court documents show a Warrant for her arrest has been issued. On February 7th, a search warrant was executed on the Neola residence where the baby’s Fentanyl overdose took place and individuals that were verified to be living in the residence and present when the baby overdosed were taken into custody. Thomas Montes, Chance Montes, Esparanza Alberta Valdez, and Tamra Colonna were arrested at the Neola residence on drug and child endangerment charges. Marcellino Montes was also brought into custody as he was in possession of drug paraphernalia with Fentanyl residue on it though he was in jail at the time of the baby’s overdose. Inside the residence, officers located 1,660 Fentanyl pills with a street value of around $20,000 dollars, 18 grams of marijuana, 1 gram of methamphetamine, suboxone, drug paraphernalia, a firearm, ammunition, a taser, and $700 dollars in cash. All were transported to the Duchesne County Jail.
