The amazing members of the Duchesne County Search and Rescue team took on swiftwater rescue training last week. “The purpose of the training was to develop a sense of confidence and necessary skills for Search and Rescue members in dealing with swiftwater situations, and to train the members in the utilization and technical skills using standard rescue gear,” shares the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office. “The Search and Rescue members learned hands on rope rescue techniques and how to assure the safety of the rescuers themselves. Uintah County Search and Rescue members attended as well.
