The Vernal Chamber luncheon was a full house on Tuesday for the launch of the virtual Women’s Business Center. Salt Lake Chamber representatives presented the resources and how to use the courses available online. The group enjoyed discussion and team exercises, exploring how to find purpose in opening a business and allowing that to drive the business to success. Shivers and Jitters owner Bonnie Collier described how the motivation and purpose for running a business can expand. While there is the financial aspect, a business owner also becomes committed to their employees and are driven by a desire to ensure they continue to have their employment during the down times in the economy. Mayor Sonja Norton agreed, saying that the purpose for and motivation behind her real estate company has changed over the years and the most important thing is to just always keep moving forward.
