Maximum releases continue from Flaming Gorge Reservoir and are anticipated to remain at this level through the remainder of the spring runoff season. According to the Bureau of Reclamation, releases are currently at 8,600 cfs with maximum power plant capacity and two full bypass tubes. Unregulated inflow into Flaming Gorge Reservoir during the month of March was 392 percent of average and as of April 7th the reservoir elevation was at 84 percent of its live capacity and decreasing. The forecast unregulated inflow volume into Flaming Gorge through July is expected to be 231 percent of average and current snowpack is 157 percent of average. The Bureau of Reclamation held a working group meeting last week as an open public forum with the stakeholders of Flaming Gorge Dam.
