Local farmers are already hard at work and TriCounty Health Department encourages local support. The Farmer’s Market is not far off and vendors can already sign up to have a booth. The Ashley Valley Farmers Market held in Vernal each year will run Saturdays from July through September  at the park next to the Uintah County Library. Vendors who sign up now get a 25% discount
until May 26th.
The Roosevelt Farmers Market runs Thursdays
from June 22nd
through September at the Roosevelt City Park. TriCounty Health Department is encouraging attendance at the Small Business and Cottage Foods Workshop running
May 8th through the 11th
at the UBATC Roosevelt Campus to educate those hoping to bake their way into a thriving home business. “We just want to promote healthy food to the community,” shares TriCounty Health Promotion Director Ferron Young. “This helps support local farmers and our local economy as well. It’s a win-win for the community.” For more information on the Farmers Markets or the Foods Workshop, visit
