Work on SR-45 Means Temporary Closure

by | May 15, 2017 | News | 0 comments

About 5 months after reopening, SR-45 is temporarily closed again in the Bonanza area. According to UDOT, the new bridge will be close for up to 4 days starting today to remove temporary asphalt and complete permanent paving. That section of road was closed for a year and a half after erosion was discovered near the roadway in 2015. It reopened on December 13th with the completion of a new bridge. Construction on the $3.4 million dollar bridge began in August of 2016. With crews needing to focus on the new upgrades this week, drivers will need to use the same detour that was in place during the construction of the bridge last fall. Construction will run from Monday, May 15th, through Friday, May 19th when the bridge is scheduled to reopen for traffic.
