NUMBFest 2017 drew a great crowd this year showing growth from the 2016 event.  NUMB, standing for the Northeastern Utah Mountain Bikers, hosts the event as their annual fundraiser to support infrastructure and needs of local trails. Some of the things the group does is signage, trail maintenance, and user education. Reporting to the Uintah County Commission, NUMB representative Trina Hedrick explained that there were 230 participants that signed in which is up 85 people from last year. “This is really exciting,” shares Hedrick. “The word is getting out…NUMBFest is going in the right direction and needs to continue this momentum.” The biggest chunk of participants were locals but the event also drew visitors from Colorado, California, Kentucky, Montana, Tennessee, New York, and Wyoming. Commissioner Bill Stringer thanked the help of the Sheriff’s Office and Highway Patrol for helping monitor congestion on Highway 40 during the event.
