A group of local baseball sluggers worked hard to make their dreams a reality over the last year. After a year of skill building and fundraising, the Uintah 12U baseball team traveled to Cooperstown, New York last week for an intense tournament and amazing experience. The team placed 10th overall out of 50 teams from all over the nation. The team went 5 and 1 in pool play and 6 and 2 overall, making a huge statement as the Utah team from a small town. “I loved being in Cooperstown and playing baseball every day for several days straight,” shares team member and pitcher Aidan Brown. “Our team had a few players that got sick…and they still played in the games so our team didn’t have to forfeit any of our games. They were really tough and played hard.” Congratulations to the Uintah 12U Baseball Team and thank you for representing the Basin so well!
