Lying to and hiding from police won’t do you much good in Rio Blanco County. Rio Blanco Sheriff’s Office was on the hunt Thursday for 40-year-old Rangley woman Alyssa Baley who had multiple warrants when they made contact with the occupants of a vehicle at Mountain Valley Bank in Meeker, Colorado. Assisted by a Meeker Police Officer, the deputy asked the occupants if they knew were Alyssa might be and they answered that she was “in court.” Upon investigating, Alyssa was found to be hiding inside the vehicle along with a stash of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and prescription drugs. All three parties were arrested on drug related charges and for accessory to crime for lying to officers. The pack was transported to the Rio Blanco County Detention Center.
