by | Jul 5, 2017 | News | 0 comments

Ashley National Forest has a clear message for all Forest visitors. Fireworks are not allowed anywhere on the Forest. Additionally, it is crucial that all visitors be careful with fire and ensure that campfires are dead-out before leaving campsites. “We have already responded to one human caused fire due to fireworks,” shares Forest Fire Management Officer Joseph Flores. “Please be careful with fire and leave your fireworks at home when you go to the Forest to recreate. Right now the fire danger for the Forest is between high and very high. We have not instituted any fire restrictions but please be cautious with fire.” Fire danger warning signs are on display throughout the Uintah Basin portraying different fire danger levels. The ratings are based on local conditions. Be careful with fire, stay on designated roads and trails and know the fire danger for the areas where you choose to recreate.
