Governor Gary Herbert announced this week his plan to take a rural jobs tour around the state over the next several weeks and the Uintah Basin is among his stops. The tour is part of the governor’s initiative to create 25,000 jobs in 25 rural counties outside the Wasatch Front over the next four years. “I will not rest until all 29 counties experience the same economic success,” shares Governor Herbert. “I challenge Utah businesses from across the state to come together. Utahns are hardworking and creative, and by working together we can find innovative solutions.” The tour will stop in each rural county for half a day meeting with representatives from industry, education, and government. The Governor is scheduled to be in Daggett County and Uintah County
on August 17th.
