They’ve done it again! The Vernal Area Chamber of Commerce walked away from the State Chamber Conference with significant awards under their belt. The conference, held last week in Cedar City, hosted 30 Chambers from throughout the state of Utah. The Vernal Chamber won two awards. The first was the “Best Community Partnership” award given for the Passport to Summer Program. The second was the “Best Engagement Practice” award given for the development of the quarterly business seminars. Chamber Director Joel Brown credits the work of the Business Development Committee for putting on these timely events. “A lot of chambers have a variety of committees but very few have an active business development committee like ours,” shares Brown. “We just have great people in our community and active participation from community members.” Brown added that credit for the community partnership award is owed to Lesha Coltharp and the Uintah County travel and tourism team for their hard work on the successful Passport to Summer program.
