With the election on its way it’s time to get to know local candidates. The Roosevelt Rotary Club is hosting a Meet the Candidates night for Roosevelt City Mayor and City Council positions. The event will take place Wednesday, September 20th from 7 to 10pm at the Crossroads Senior Center. Running for Mayor is J.R. Bird and Albert Foster. Running for City Council is David Baird, Wendy Nicholson, Steven Timothy, and Dustin White. During the primary election held August 15th, the votes for City Council members were 178 votes for Troy Rohrer, 193 votes for Wendy Nicholson, 238 votes for David Baird, 247 votes for Steven Timothy, and 280 votes for Dustin White.
