No it’s not a musical and yes it’s for families of all ages. Vernal Theatre: LIVE’s upcoming production of

The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940

has some cast history behind it. The play was set to be performed locally over 6 years ago but unfortunately never made it to opening night. That original cast went on with their lives, many performing in other local shows including shows in Season 1 at Vernal Theatre: LIVE. “Those original cast members kept talking about

The Musical Comedy Murders

and Nashelle Jackson decided Vernal Theatre would do it,” shares show Director McKenzie Johnstun. “I decided that I would get back as much of the original cast as possible and most of them are part of this show.” To say the cast is excited may be an understatement. “The fact that we’ve got the majority of the cast back is rather incredible,” shares cast member David Gale. “The show is hilarious! It’s a bunch of people stuck in one house where murder and mayhem occur but it’s just hilarious. It’s not dark at all. When someone dies on stage it’s a big joke.”  The show is being performed
November 3rd
, 4th, 6th, 9th, 10th, and 11th. Buy tickets now at
