There’s been an adjustment to the schedule of releases from the Flaming Gorge Dam. According to Hydraulic Engineer Heather Patno, the Bureau of Reclamation encountered some unexpected issues during the annual maintenance of the generation units at Flaming Gorge Dam resulting in only one unit available beginning Tuesday, October 10th. “Reclamation will be attempting to bring additional units online as soon as possible,” shares Patno. “Until such a time as additional units are available, releases shall be limited to one unit.” Flaming Gorge has been decreased to powerplant capacity but it is anticipated that an additional unit will be available the first week in November, if not sooner.
