A slow economy apparently can’t slow Walmart down. The retail giant is opening its new fuel center and convenience store in Vernal with a Grand Opening
Wednesday morning
. The construction project, including a 1,440 square foot building and gas pumps, was announced last summer. The general contractor on the project, R&O Construction, came from out of Ogden. The pumps are available for all night use and the convenience store will keep similar hours as the main store. A Walmart representative confirmed that the store is especially excited to have the extra services during the busy tourist season.
