Two Uintah High students have been commended for high test scores. Emily Semadeni and Heidi Daniel were both recently recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corp. for their performance on the 2016 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Heidi and Emily were presented with their awards at a school assembly this year. District wide, students have also shown significant growth in SAGE testing proficiency. Between the 2014 and 2017 end of year testing, Uintah students improved in Language Arts by 10 percent while the Utah average was only an increase of 2 percent. In Math, Uintah students improved by 11 percent while the state showed an improvement rate of 7 percent. In Science, Uintah students improved an average of 14 percent while the state showed an improvement rate of 4 percent.
