What could have been a dangerous situation has turned into a question of who-dun-it. According to the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office, a strong wind blew a tree into the lane of travel on Main Street in Duchesne. Upon investigation it was revealed that an individual or individuals had partially cut through a number of trees in front of the Duchesne River Inn. Detectives with the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help to identify who is responsible. It is believed that on or about
September 21st
a chainsaw was used to cut partway through the trees in front of the vacant motel. Since the tree fell onto Main Street and because it was found that the remaining trees were also partially cut, the entire group had to be cut down for safety reasons.
