With countless children’s book authors out there it can be difficult to stand out but one author has created something terrifically unique that many in the Basin can appreciate. Robert Jacobs, Jr. visited the Uintah County Library on Saturday afternoon for a signing and reading of his newest book The Elk Princess: An Introduction to Little Jane. The book is the first in his new Little Jane series in which his title character learns about hunting and shooting with an emphasis on sportsmanship, safety, and ethics. The Little Jane books, shared Jacobs, is the first children’s series of his knowledge that features a young girl learning about hunting. Jacobs is the author of the acclaimed Little Jake series which Gun World Magazine commends as “beautifully and profusely illustrated and very nicely written.” The books are illustrated by former Disney artists and can be found on
