Accident in Roosevelt Investigated As DUI

An accident that occured in Roosevelt last week is being investigated for DUI. According to Roosevelt City Police Chief Rick Harrison, a 2008 Jeep Commander traveling east and driven by 28-year-old Chapeete Serawop failed to stop for a red light at 200 North State Street in Roosevelt at about 5:00pm on December 27th. Serawop hit a 2010 Ford Taurus that was traveling north with a 66-year-old driver, spinning it around in the intersection. The driver in the Taurus was treated for minor cuts by ambulance personnel, shares Chief Harrison, who explains that the driver of the Jeep, Chapeete Serawop, was taken into custody for investigation of driving under the influence.
