A few more names are on the list to gather signatures in anticipation of the 2018 election season. Current Duchesne County Commissioner Ron Winterton has added his name to the list for Senate District-26, joining Joni Crane from Uintah County and Kyle Snow from Duchesne County. Each is required to gather 2000 signatures from registered Republicans. In Uintah County, Duane Shepherd added his name to the list of those gathering signatures for Commission Seat B along with Bill Stringer and Troy Slaugh. Also gathering signatures is Michael Wilkins for Clerk-Auditor, Dan Dilsaver and Bart Haslem for Commission Seat A, and Steve Labrum and Leonard Isaacson for Uintah County Sheriff. Sheriff Vance Norton announced he will not be running for re-election. Each in Uintah County will need to gather 329 signatures from registered Republicans. In Duchesne County, Luke Stratinger has added his name to the list for Sheriff along with Brandon Adams and Travis Tucker. Also gathering signatures is JoAnn Evans and Mindi Crowley for Clerk-Auditor, Gregory Todd for Commission Seat A, and Gregory Miles for Commission Seat B. Each in Duchesne County will need to gather 186 signatures from registered Republicans. Those with enough signatures can be included on the Primary ballot in June.
