Advanced technology is part of the new Women’s Center at Ashley Regional Medical Center. The hospital announced Wednesday the addition of 3D Mammography, a service that allows for more effective and earlier detection of breast cancer. “We are thrilled to be able to offer this state-of-the-art technology and further enhance the high quality care we provide to the women in our community,” says Jeff Hanberg, Ashley Regional Radiology Director. “Our 3D Mammography service will help make it possible to detect breast cancer in earlier stages so that treatment can begin sooner, giving our patients a greater chance of beating the disease.” This addition to hospital services is especially relevant as one in eight women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. The hospital performed its first 3-D Mammography on Wednesday in the new Women’s Center. The Center itself remains under construction but the Mammography area is complete. Women are invited to schedule their appointments by calling

and the first 50 women to receive a mammogram in the new Women’s Center will receive a special gift.
