Smoke and burning visible in Dry Fork Canyon today are no cause for concern. According to BLM representative Kelsey Birchell, the Bureau of Land Management is implementing a 50 acre pile burn in the Dry Fork Canyon area all day Thursday. Birchell says they received the clearance from the state office to perform the prescription burns which doesn’t happen very often in the Basin. “The piles will be noticeable from the face of Dry Fork and will run all day,” shares Birchell. “There will be fire trucks and a crew up there.
