Officials continue to work together making progress on the Daggett County/Dutch John agreement. An update from the Daggett County Commissioners shares that as of their February 27th meeting, an agreement is in place for Daggett County to turn all the buildings, land, and equipment – including water and sewer systems in Dutch John – over to the Dutch John township. 12,000 acre feet of water had been in dispute but upon execution of the agreement on the water, shares the Commissioners, Dutch John receives 1500 acre feet as part of their Incorporation. The remainder will be leased out with Daggett County receiving 60 percent of the proceeds and Dutch John receiving 40 percent. An agreement has not yet been reached on the land owned by Daggett County within Dutch John but Dutch John is requesting to control it and want it in the name of Dutch John.
