Mountain Goat Viewing Event in Northeastern Utah

by | Mar 21, 2018 | News | 0 comments

There may be less snow this year but the Division of Wildlife Resources says mountain goats will still make their appearance at an upcoming viewing event. “With only a fraction of the snowpack that we experienced just a year ago, the rocky layer on the South Slope of the Uinta Mountains has been exposed through most of the winter,” shares DWR conservation outreach manager Tonya Kieffer. “This year, viewing mountain goats may prove to be difficult, but still worth trying.” The free mountain goat watch is happening
March 31st
at Rock Creek, northwest of Mountain Home. The event runs
from 9:30am to 1:30pm
. The event is subject to weather cooperation.
