Uintah Basin Cosplay Welcomes All to Idea Exchange Events

Cosplay as a hobby is growing in popularity across the nation and the Uintah Basin has its own group always welcoming newcomers. Stephen and Sabrina Moon enjoy Cosplay as a family and socially with their friends. When it comes to sharing Cosplay with others they are out to show anyone who is interested that Cosplay may look like an expensive hobby but that doesn’t have to be the case. Uintah Basin Cosplay is holding a workshop and idea exchange tomorrow in Duchesne County to bring together those who already are involved or have an interest in Cosplay as well as newcomers who may know little about Cosplay but want to learn. The Moons have created displays showing how they made parts of costumes and suggesting uses for things most people wouldn’t think of. “Our goal is to show you don’t need expensive materials or specialized equipment to make these things and to show all the great books our library has to offer as resources,” shares Stephen. “There are actually a lot of people in the Basin who are into Cosplay but most of them seem to think they are all alone out there.” All interested are invited to Saturday’s event
from 1 to 3pm
at the Duchesne Branch Library. A similar event will be held in Vernal at the Uintah County Library
on August 4th from noon to 2:00pm
. For more information on Uintah Basin Cosplay, call
