Steve Labrum visited the KVEL studio this week for an interview on the Meet the Candidate Forum. Labrum is running for Uintah County Sheriff. His campaign information can be found on the Facebook page, ‘Steve Labrum for Uintah County Sheriff.’ Labrum is currently a Sergeant for Vernal City Police Department and has also worked for the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office and the Logan Police Department. In a new video posted on the Facebook page, Labrum says there is a need to rally around those struggling with addiction and get them help when they are ready. He also committed to continue active shooter trainings if made Sheriff. The Meet the Candidate Forum started on May 7th and is being held select mornings from 8 to 9am broadcast on News Talk KVEL 104.5 FM and 920 AM. Upcoming interviews include Brian Gorum and Pat Vaughn, both for Senate District 26, on Friday, June 8th, and Eileen Gallagher for Senate District 26 on Monday, June 11th. Interviews will be rebroadcast weekday mornings at 8am through June 19th.
